Introduction, for a limited time, of foreign, national, or nationalized goods into a facility authorized as a Strategic Bonded Warehouse (RFE), for handling, storage, safekeeping, display, sale, distribution, manufacturing, transformation, or repair, with the benefit of not paying foreign trade taxes or countervailing duties.

Tax Benefits



  • Immediate certification of VAT/IEPS upon demonstrating that the RFE operator authorization is in place.

  • A Customs Processing Fee of 1.76 per thousand for fixed assets, and a fixed fee for the rest of the merchandise.

  • National or permanently imported goods can be introduced into the RFE for storage, display, sale, and distribution, without being subject to the RFE regime, and these will not be considered exported./li>

Operational Benefits



  • Automatic extension of validity can be obtained upon request.

  • Immediate registration in the importers' registry for specific sectors once the RFE operator authorization is accredited.

  • Goods can be processed for entry into the RFE regime and extraction from it at any customs, even on non-working days and hours.

  • The duration of stay for goods will be 60 months for general merchandise, and for machinery and equipment, it will last for the validity of the authorization.

  • The establishment of IMMEX programs within an RFE will be allowed.
